Research-Oriented Master’s Scholarships
Launch your AI research journey with an ELIZA Research-Oriented Master’s Scholarship. These prestigious scholarships are designed to support students aspiring to pursue a PhD in machine learning-driven AI. Benefit from a research-focused curriculum and excellent supervision by an ELIZA Fellow. Places are highly competitive and international applicants strongly encouraged.
Applications are accepted year-round, but you must submit your application by October 25 for the winter term and by April 25 for the summer term. If you did not get accepted, we encourage you to improve in the directions the application form asks for and re-apply for the next term.

Opportunities for ELLIS Students: Research Stays
Enhance your PhD research through the ELIZA & ELLIS network. ELIZA offers unique mobility opportunities for PhD students within the ELLIS network. Germany-based ELLIS PhD students can carry out their mandatory research stays at another ELLIS unit abroad. Conversely, ELLIS PhD students from abroad can conduct their research stays at German ELIZA sites.
Female Student Travel Award
To recognise excellence and foster female leadership in AI, the Zuse School ELIZA invites applications for the Female Student Travel Award. This award honours exceptional achievements by female students seeking a degree in one of the four ELIZA research areas. Winners will be granted a stipend to encourage attendance of conferences focused on connecting female researchers in computer science and engineering, thus helping to empower the next generation of women in these vital fields.
